Introduction to Zhejiang Agricultural Business College
Zhejiang Agricultural Business College is a full-time public vocational college organized by the Zhejiang Supply and Marketing Cooperative, approved by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province. The university, the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and the All-China Supply and Marketing Cooperative Federation jointly build colleges. Has won “advanced unit of vocational education and adult education”, “National Supply and Marketing Cooperative System Skilled Personnel Training Outstanding Contribution Award”, “National Advanced Social Science Organization”, “Zhejiang Civilized Unit” and other honors.
The college is located in Shaoxing, a famous historical and cultural city, in Paojiang New District, a national economic and technological development zone. The campus covers an area of over 410 acres, with a total construction area of over 146,000 square meters. The total value of teaching equipment is 35 million yuan, and the library has 681,000 books. There are six departments including agricultural economic management, culinary tourism, art design, automotive technology, accounting and finance, economics and trade, and the Ministry of Basic Education and the Ministry of Continuing Education. There are nearly 6,400 full-time students. There are more than 360 faculty members, of which 25% are full-time teachers and senior professional titles, and 67% are full-time teachers with dual-quality teachers.
Relying on the system, Zhejiang Agricultural Business College serves “agriculture, rural areas and farmers”, is based on the locality, faces the whole province, connects to the Yangtze River Delta, and trains the necessary technical and technical talents for production, construction, service, and management. Currently, there are 22 majors of various types, including 9 agricultural majors, 3 central projects such as the central government’s financial assistance to enhance professional service industry development capacity, 5 provincial specialties, and advantageous professional construction projects. Four training base construction projects have formed a professional system featuring the “agriculture, rural areas, and farmers” specialty, a modern trade major, and a coordinated development of tourism, art, and automobile.
Continuously enrich and expand the talent training model of “cooperation between government, school, enterprise, industry, education, research and innovation”, and established Shaoxing Tourism College, Shaoxing Farmers College, Paojiang Automobile College, Xianheng College, Zhejiang Agricultural Maoyang College and other companies have set up more than 230 off-campus training bases with enterprises. Focusing on social service work such as vocational training and vocational skills appraisal, it is the first batch of “National Supply and Marketing Cooperative Training Bases” and “Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperative Education Training Bases”. In the past three years, more than 30 agricultural training programs have been actively expanded, and a total of 7,000 agricultural training personnel have been trained.
Since the construction of higher vocational colleges, the school’s school characteristics have gradually emerged, and the quality of school running has continued to improve. The average enrollment rate of freshmen over the years is above 96%, and the employment rate of graduates is above 97%. According to the survey by the Provincial Education Evaluation Institute, the employment rate of our graduates in 2012 is 98.47%, ranking first in the province’s vocational colleges. The teacher-student skills competition has achieved outstanding results. In the past three years, it has won more than 100 national and industry association awards and more than 350 provincial and ministerial and industry association awards.
