Introduction to Suqian Vocational and Technical College
Established in 2000, Suqian Vocational and Technical College (宿迁职业技术学院, website) is a full-time general college approved by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. It implements higher vocational education at the college level. The college is affiliated to Beijing Bawei Information Group, with the information technology industry as the main school running feature.
The college is located in the Higher Education Park of Hubin New District, China’s Top Tourist City, National Garden City, China’s Financial Ecological City, New Model City of Environmental Protection and Energy Saving, National Top 100 City, National Health City, Suqian City, and is close to the scenic Luoma Lake Tourism District and Mount Shantai National Forest Park, surrounded by mountains and rivers, have an elegant environment. With the mission of “innovative education, leading the future”, the college explores the development of vocational education through the process of casting body, casting heart and casting soul. The college adheres to the “market demand-oriented”, “post requirements as the standard”, “high-paying employment as the goal” to improve the curriculum system of various majors, formulate talent training plans, innovate teaching models, tap student potential, and improve teaching efficiency.
Suqian Vocational and Technical College consists of four departments and two basic colleges. It has formed four distinctive professional groups based on the Internet, the Internet of Things, and information technology-based information engineering, information design, Internet finance, and Internet marketing. It provides guarantee for study and employment, and cultivates urgently needed high-tech application-oriented talents for economic and social development. Students of all majors in the IT industry of our college study in Suqian campus for about two years, and study in Beijing or Shanghai for about one year.
