ShanghaiTech University trains undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students, and professional degree graduates. As of September 2019, the school has a total of 3,747 students, including 1,550 undergraduates, 1,459 graduate students, and 738 doctoral students. In 2014, the school recruited the first 207 undergraduates for 9 provinces and cities nationwide. ShanghaiTech University’s graduate training focuses on academic doctoral degrees, while taking into account some applied master degrees. From 2013 to 2016, the school and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly recruited 1,550 postgraduate and graduate students.
