North China Electric Power University (华北电力大学, website) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and is a national key university for the “211 Project” and “985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Platform”. The university was founded in Beijing in 1958 and was formerly known as Beijing Electric Power University. The school has long been affiliated with the State Electricity Administration.
