Ningxia University (宁夏大学, NXU) is a “collaborative district” university established by the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region, a national “first-class discipline” construction university, and a national “211 Project” key construction university.
Ningxia University was founded in 1958. In December 1997, Ningxia University merged with the former Ningxia Institute of Technology and Yinchuan Teachers College (including Ningxia College of Education); in February 2002, it merged with Ningxia Agricultural College to form a new Ningxia University, unveiling a new reform and development of the school.
