Introduction to Maoming Academy of Health
Established in 2015, Maoming Academy of Health is a public full-time ordinary college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government. The college is located on Anle East Road, Dianhai Street, Dianbai District, Maoming City. It is adjacent to Shenhai Expressway in the north, Shuidong Bay in the south, Baomao Expressway in the west, and National Highway 325 in the east.
The Maoming Academy of Health covers an area of 506 acres, with a construction area of 290,000 square meters and a total investment of about 1.2 billion yuan. The first phase of construction land is 356 acres, the school building is 85,000 square meters, and the outdoor sports ground area is 31200 square meters. The total value of the college experimental training equipment is more than 30 million yuan, and the library holds 220,000 volumes. The college currently has 204 faculty members, including 157 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 2 doctors and 27 postgraduates; 42 senior titles (including 21 associate professors).
The college now offers 10 majors including midwifery, Chinese medicine, medical nutrition, health management, nursing, pharmacy, medical testing technology, rehabilitation treatment technology, traditional Chinese medicine health care, medical beauty technology, and 4,700 vocational students. In addition, there are 1766 secondary vocational students, and the total number of students is 6,466.
The Maoming Academy of Health is a training center for talents in short supply approved by the Ministry of Education, a unit of the Guangdong Pension Industry and Education Alliance, and a training base for general practitioners in Maoming. The college will be based on Maoming, serve Guangdong and radiate the whole country, take Lide as the root, serve the development as its purpose, take employment as the guide, seize the opportunity, create excellent products, run special features, and build higher vocational education and health technical personnel training coexist.
