Introduction to Hunan Applied Technology University
Hunan Applied Technology University (湖南应用技术学院) is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Jiangnan District, Changde City, Hunan Province. The school was founded in 1994 and was known as Changde Computer Technology School. In 1998, it became a pilot college for higher education diplomas and was renamed Changde Computer College. In 2004, it was upgraded to a national unified college and renamed as Hunan Tongde Vocational College. ; In 2014, it was upgraded to a national unified undergraduate college and renamed Hunan College of Applied Technology.
Hunan Applied Technology University now has economic management, mechanical and electrical engineering, design arts, information engineering, agriculture and forestry technology, foreign languages, college of culture and media, college of Marxism, college of culture and media, college of innovation, entrepreneurship and employment, and college of continuing education. And more than 20 specialized majors (directions). There are 743 faculty members, including 459 full-time teachers, 184 full professors and associate professors, 19 doctors, and 202 masters. “Double-teacher teachers” account for 69% of the total number of teachers. There are 15 nationalities from 16 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. There are more than 9,900 students in school-based and junior colleges. Education, teaching, training, style, and living facilities are all available. There are 125 multi-functional laboratories and training venue bases on campus, more than 80 fixed off-site practice training bases, and entrepreneurial innovation studios. There are more than 70, 6 entrepreneurial incubation bases inside and outside the school, a collection of more than 1.1 million books, more than 3,000 supporting computers, broadband closed-circuit television covering the whole school, and the employment rate of graduates has reached 96%.
Teachers of Hunan Applied Technology University have published more than 2,000 teaching and research papers, published 36 monographs and teaching materials, obtained 109 national invention patents, 11 provincial and ministerial teaching and research awards, and undertook key provincial and youth teaching at all levels 138 scientific research projects. The university has successively won more than 170 national, provincial and municipal honorary titles, including outstanding universities in Hunan Province for employment “Top-ranking Project”. “People’s Daily”, “China Education News” and Hunan Education TV Station and other media have made special reports on our school, which has been hailed as “the cradle for the cultivation of applied and innovative talents”.
