Introduction to Guizhou University of Commerce
Guizhou University of Commerce (GZCC) was founded in 1947 as “Guiyang Shangxi Accounting School”. It is the birthplace of Guizhou’s Business Education. Along the years, the university evolves from “Guizhou Provincial Trade Secondary Technical School”, “Guizhou Provincial Business School” to “Guizhou Business College” and then to “Guizhou Commercial College”. In 2015, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college by the Ministry of Education and renamed as Guizhou University of Commerce. It is the pilot unit for the transformation of the second batch of local undergraduate colleges in Guizhou Province. Since the establishment of the school, it has trained more than 80,000 business talents for the country. It has been hailed as the “cradle of merchants” and has made positive contributions to the country’s economic and social development, especially to the development of Guizhou’s trade and circulation industry and modern service industry.
Guizhou University of Commerce covers an area of 652,300 square meters, with a construction area of 329,900 square meters. The total value of teaching and research equipment was 59.91 million yuan, and the proportion increased by 50% in the same year. There are more than 860,000 books in paper collections, more than 1.3 million e-books, 125,900 electronic journals, 15 digital resource platforms, and 21 digital resource platforms. There are 70 laboratories, including 48 professional laboratories (including one provincial key education laboratory, two provincial research centres), eight computer basic laboratories, and 14 voice laboratories. There are 97 off-campus internship bases. The campus network has an export bandwidth of 10,300M and a total of 8,641 information points. Every one hundred students have 22.46 computers for teaching, and every one hundred students have with 108.69 seats for multimedia classrooms and voice rooms.
Guizhou University of Commerce has 11,574 full-time students, including 7,666 undergraduates and 3,908 undergraduates. There are 670 teachers in total, of which: teachers with master’s degree or above account for 63.88%, teachers with senior titles account for 40.00%, and students with a teacher ratio of 19.26:1. The college has 13 teaching units and offers 21 undergraduate majors in economics, management, and majors, including economics, management, engineering, and art. There are one provincial first-class professional (cultivation), two first-class platforms, two first-class teachers, four first-class courses, one crucial provincial support discipline, and one provincial philosophy and social science innovation team.
Since the establishment of undergraduate education, the total amount of research contract funds has reached 10,254,200 CNY. Guizhou University of Commerce has published 672 academic papers, including 104 core journal articles and eight major retrieval papers. As the sixth batch of talent bases in Guizhou Province (Guizhou Modern Business Logistics Talent Base) and the fourth batch of provincial-level professional and technical personnel continuing education bases in Guizhou Province, the college is entrusted by the Provincial Party Committee Organization Department Talent Office and the Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department. All kinds of training tasks, give full play to the social service capabilities of the base and provide talent support and intellectual guarantee for accelerating economic construction and social development in our province.

We have established cooperation with more than ten universities at home and abroad, and cooperated in student exchange, teacher training, and academic exchanges.
