Guilin Life and Health Career Technical College (桂林生命与健康职业技术学院) is a full-time general medical and health vocational technical college with a full-time general medical qualification independently recognized by the state and approved by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Education.

The college is located in Guilin, a famous international tourist city. The dean of the college is Mr. Huang Guangwu, former president of Guangxi Medical University. The College has established an academic committee composed of internationally renowned experts and outstanding domestic leaders in various disciplines. Among them are Academician Zheng Yongqi, Professor of Yale University School of Medicine, Shi Xuemin, Master of Chinese Medicine and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Chinese Medicine Masters Wang Qi, Sun Guangrong, Wei Guikang, 108 nationally renowned professors such as Tang Yixin, Lin Yi, Li Li, famous cardiovascular expert Professor Yang Tingshu, and cancer expert Zhu Jun. It has extensive contact and communication channels with famous universities in the United States, Canada and Taiwan.

Guilin Life and Health Career Technical College has a team of experienced teachers, including 10 doctors and 54 graduates, professors, associate professors and directors, deputy chief physicians, 70 full-time teachers with professional and technical titles, and full-time and part-time teachers. The team has more than 170 people.

Guilin Life and Health Career Technical College has comprehensive supporting facilities for running schools. The projects of Guilin International Health and Smart Tourism Industrial Park are all supporting projects of the college. There are life science research and development centers, Chonghua Traditional Chinese Medicine Street, Xinhe Rehabilitation Hospital, Life Electronics Expo Park, and traditional Chinese medicine health town. These projects are important bases for the college’s production, study, and research, and provide a solid and strong guarantee for students’ education and teaching practice.

The college currently offers majors in traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese health and health care, elderly care and management, and medical nutrition. The college was established in response to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s plan to implement a “Healthy China” strategy. It is the first institution of higher learning in the country to study life and make more people healthy, happy and live 120 years with dignity.
