Guangzhou Civil Aviation College (广州民航职业技术学院), directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China, is the earliest full-time public college in the civil aviation industry to run higher vocational education. In 1994, the school was identified by the Ministry of Education as one of the first ten schools in the country to test five-year higher vocational education; in 1999, it was approved to be established by the Ministry of Education and the Civil Aviation Administration; in 2010, it was identified as a national demonstration by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. The school currently has three campuses, Airport Road Campus, Baiyun Airport Campus and Huadu Chicheng Campus, covering a total area of 1,112 acres. Guangzhou Civil Aviation College consists of five secondary colleges: Aircraft Maintenance Engineering College, Airport Management College, Civil Aviation Management College, Humanities and Social Sciences College, and Continuing Education College. It recruits students from 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, and currently has 21 majors and 26 professional directions, covering key positions in civil aviation maintenance and services, with more than 12,000 students in school.
