Introduction to Chongzuo College for Preschool Education
The predecessor of Chongzuo College for Preschool Education (崇左幼儿师范高等专科学校) was the Nanning Regional College of Education, which was founded in 1982. In March 2019, it was approved by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and reported to the Ministry of Education. . The nature of the school is a public full-time ordinary college, and it is the second infant teacher college in Guangxi. There are a total of 8821 registered students, of which 5881 are full-time college students (including 3275 freshmen in 2019), and 2940 are undergraduate students in adult education. The students come from more than 50 counties (cities, districts) in the district, and the school scale of the school is showing a good development trend that is expanding year by year.
The school covers an area of 617 acres, and the building area of the first phase of the school building is 168,000 square meters. There are 5,320 multimedia classroom seats, 165 voice room seats, 550 teaching computers, and a modern campus network service system. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 25.45 million yuan. The building area of the library is 14,900 square meters. The existing collection of paper books is 263,000 volumes, and there are more than 80,000 electronic books. There are more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign language periodicals. There are 63 experimental (training) rooms and training bases in the school, and 12 stable and reliable practice training bases are built outside the school.
Chongzuo College for Preschool Education currently has 190 full-time teachers, including 37 teachers with senior professional technical titles or above (4 are senior professional titles, and 33 are senior vice-titles), accounting for 19% of the total number of full-time teachers. There are 90 teachers with master degree or above, accounting for 47% of the total number of full-time teachers.
The school has five teaching departments: preschool education department, elementary education department, culture and art department, economic and trade department, and public management department, as well as teaching units such as the public teaching department and the ideological and political theory teaching department. In terms of specialty setting, we adhere to the principle of “facing the market and serving the locality”, with characteristic specialty construction as a breakthrough point, and gradually form our own school-running characteristics: that is, taking teacher education as the main body, highlighting the characteristics of infant teacher education, and a professional system for the coordinated development of non-teacher specialty.
In the past five years, the school has a total of 33 scientific research projects, including 27 prefecture-level and 6 internal projects; published more than 200 papers, 3 papers were included by SCI and EI, 20 Chinese core journals, 17 core papers, and were published Three books, eight school-based teaching materials, and three experimental bases have been established for the transformation of scientific research results. The school also relies on Chongzuo Teacher Training Center to undertake the task of basic education teacher training in Chongzuo.
Chongzuo College for Preschool Education focuses on full-time general college education, and also provides adult correspondence courses, undergraduates, distance education, undergraduate, continuing education for primary and secondary school teachers, and various short-term vocational training.
