Introduction to Xi’an Liangjiatan International School
Xi’an Liangjiatan International School (XLIS 西安梁家滩国际学校, website), the successor of Xi’an Hi-Tech International School, International Department (XHISID), was founded in 2004. It is the first IB World School authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization in the northwest region of China. It is also a key international education program supported by the Hi-Tech Zone Administrative Committee of Xi’an, Shaanxi. The new campus covers a land area of 68,666 square meters. This establishment will be considered a green and modern campus which will provide outstanding international education on a large scale.
The school was formerly known as the International Department of Xi’an High-tech International School and was established in 2004. The school is a non-profit international school established by the Shaanxi Province and Xi’an Municipal Government and the High-tech Management Committee to serve the Shaanxi Free Trade Zone. The school currently has nearly 700 teachers and students from 32 countries and regions in the world. All teachers have rich international education experience and professional IB course training qualifications. It is currently the highest-level and largest international school in Xi’an.
The school is located in Xi’an International Community, covering an area of 103 acres. The campus is jointly designed by Chinese, American, and Italian designers. It is located between the Fenghe River in Qinling Mountains, in the Xi’an High-tech Zone where technology, talent, and innovation are prosperous.
The school has always been committed to the professional, cutting-edge, and sustainable development of international courses. It has taken the lead in realizing the 15-year International Baccalaureate Organization (International Baccalaureate Organization) curriculum certification authorization from kindergarten to high school in Northwest China, becoming the first world IB in Northwest China.
