Introduction to Chenshan School
Founded in early 2014, Chenshan School (晨山学校, website) is a boarding private international school. The current principal is Oscar Nilsson.
The school is located in the Yanliu Scenic Area of Fenghu Lake in Xiuning at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, covering an area of 550 mu. The scenery is beautiful and the environment is pleasant. It has indoor and outdoor stadiums, football fields, planting test fields, modern classrooms, library, music room, performing arts hall and the old Huiyang site of ancient Huizhou buildings that cultivate humanistic feelings.
The school includes a bilingual department and an international department. The International Department enrolls students from grades 5 to 12 and adopts a small-class teaching system with no more than 20 students in each class. Grades 5-12 have transitioned from Chinese and English teaching to full English teaching. Grades 11-12 will teach IBDP courses. In the fall of 2017, grade 10 students will be enrolled, and American high school courses will be available.
