Introduction to Zhixin High School
Guangzhou Zhixin High School (广州执信中学, website) is a key middle school in Guangdong Province, a first-class school in Guangdong Province, and the first batch of national model high schools in Guangdong Province.
The school has Zhixin South Road (Headquarters) campus and 109 Middle Campus. There are 52 classes in high school and 18 classes in junior high school, with a total of 3515 students. There are 262 full-time teachers.
International Division, Zhixin High School
The International Division of Guangzhou Zhixin High School was founded in 2012 to provide students international courses. If students decide to study abroad, they can transfer to the International Division from the Regular Class of Guangzhou Zhixin High School. Additionally, qualified registered students from member schools of Guangzhou Zhixin Education Group will have a chance to study here. Students at the International Division will pledge not to sit for the College Entrance Examinations (CEE or Gaokao) in China. Upon completion of a minimum of 144 credit hours in three years, they will receive high school diploma issued by the Ministry of Education.
Curriculum and Courses
At our International Division, we offer international courses specifically designed for students who have decided to achieve their bachelor’s degree abroad. We offer social studies courses, math courses, General English/ESL courses, science courses, Chinese language arts courses, global citizenship courses, AP courses, and specialized courses. Science courses are mainly taught in a bilingual environment, while the rest are mainly taught in English with the exception of Chinese and Chinese History.
As a high school certified by the College Entrance Examination Board, we are currently offering 17 AP courses: AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Language and Composition, AP Art History, AP World History, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology and AP U.S. History.
