Introduction to Taiyuan Foreign Language School
Taiyuan Foreign Language School (太原外国语学校, website) is a demonstration high school in Shanxi Province with distinctive foreign language features. Its predecessor was Taiyuan Women’s Teachers College, founded in 1909. It was named Taiyuan Foreign Language School after being approved by the Taiyuan Municipal People’s Government in 1984. There are more than 3,000 students in the school, and there are 287 formal faculty members.
