Introduction to Shanxi Experimental Secondary School
Shanxi Experimental Secondary School (山西省实验中学, website) is the only provincial key middle school and provincial demonstration high school managed by Shanxi Provincial Department of Education. The school is the only middle school in Shanxi Province approved by the Ministry of Education and qualified for Sino-foreign cooperative education. The school was founded in 1882, formerly known as Lingdetang Academy.
As of 2014, the school has more than 300 faculty members and a total of more than 4,500 students. The school liberation campus covers an area of more than 33,300 square meters, a student apartment building with a construction area of 12,000 square meters, a teacher dormitory building with a construction area of 18,000 square meters, and a teaching experiment building, art building, gymnasium and campus square.
