Introduction to Qingdao Foreign Language School

Qingdao Foreign Language School or Qingdao No. 9 Middle School (青岛九中, website) was founded in 1900. The original school name was “Lixian Academy” and it was the first new middle school in the modern history of Qingdao.

The new campus of the school is located in the Sino-German Ecological Park in Huangdao District (559 Qixinghe Road, Huangdao District). There are 60 classes in the school, and the number of students is 3,000. The school has teachers and teaching abilities in seven foreign languages including English, Japanese, French, German, Korean, French, Spanish, and Arabic, and has nearly 20 foreign teachers.

In 2005, the school was rated as a standardized school in Shandong Province.
