Introduction to Nanning Foreign Language School

Nanning Foreign Language School (南宁外国语学校, website) is a full-time, boarding public high school, Guangxi model ordinary high school, Guangxi model characteristic school, state-owned foreign language school filed by the Ministry of Education, national foreign language teaching experiment base, Guangxi University for Nationalities, Nanning Normal University, Guangxi Arts College education practice base, national youth moral cultivation experiment base.

The predecessor of the school was the 12th Middle School of Nanning City, founded in 1962. The campus covers an area of nearly 110 acres and is located in the Guangxi Capital University Park and the High-tech Development Zone. It absorbs the aura of the Yongjiang River, the beautiful charm of the Acacia Lake, and the humanistic atmosphere of university technology. The campus has a beautiful environment, regular layout, elegant architecture and advanced facilities. In the past half century, there have been many famous teachers and countless outstanding students; talents have come out all over the world.

Nanning Foreign Language School currently has 2,864 students, including 1,390 junior high schools and 1,474 high school students. There are 56 teaching classes, including 28 high school classes and 28 junior high school classes. There are 224 faculty members, including 181 full-time teachers.

“Happy foreign language” is the core concept of the school’s foreign language teaching. After years of exploration, the school has formed a happy foreign language activity classroom feature of “multiple textbooks, intensive and comprehensive; Chinese and Western integration, internal and external reflection”; English festival, welcome market, English corner, English film and television appreciation, Cambridge English, Thai language courses and other colorful activities allow students to enjoy the fun of foreign language learning. The English club has become a hall for students to swim in foreign language knowledge. In recent years, the school has continuously strengthened educational exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries, broadened the channels for running schools, and strived to do a good job in serving the country’s development of the “Belt and Road” economic and cultural construction.
