Introduction to Fuzhou Foreign Language School
Fuzhou Foreign Language School (福州外国语学校, website) was founded in 1907. Formerly known as St. Mark’s College, Trinity School, and Fuzhou No. 9 Middle School, it has a long history of running schools and is the only public foreign language school in Fuzhou. In 2015, the school was recognized as a first-class standard school in Fujian Province, and won the Fujian Civilization School, Fujian Provincial Campus Culture Construction Advanced School, Fujian Provincial Moral Education School, Fujian Provincial Middle School Model Library, Fujian Provincial Civilization Post, Fuzhou The city implements the titles of advanced school for quality education and national sports traditional project school.
Fuzhou Foreign Language School currently has 63 classes with 2,994 students. The school currently has 215 faculty members and 194 full-time teachers; among them, there are 98 full-time teachers in high schools, 17 teachers with graduate degrees or professional master degrees, 98 high school teachers hold senior high school teacher qualification certificates, and the certificate holding rate is 100%. There are 71 teachers with qualifications for intermediate and higher professional technical positions, including 25 senior professional technical teachers, 1 special-grade teacher in Fujian Province, and 3 provincial-level subject leaders in Fujian.
The school campus is beautifully landscaped with trees. Built teaching building, experiment building, comprehensive building, library building, administrative office building, alumni building, student activity center, special sports field (300M ring-shaped plastic runway, 128M long wind and rain track and 98M long, 57.6M wide artificial turf international Standard football field, badminton court, basketball volleyball court, table tennis court), inquiry room, physical and chemical laboratory, network classroom, recording room, conference room, general skill room, various special classrooms, biology, geographic area. Fuzhou Foreign Language School selects teachers to participate in the training of international, national, provincial and municipal academic leaders and introduces excellent foreign teachers. The school has English experimental class, Japanese class, German class, French class, Spanish class, Russian class. The school continues to deepen and expand the international exchange space, and has successively cooperated with Shangshan Middle School in Naha, Japan, Trinity College of Dublin University in Ireland, Anglican High School in Singapore, Weilhof First Class Liberal Arts and Sciences Middle School in Germany, Lebron Middle School in France, Stow Falls High School , India Sai International School, etc. have established cooperative relations. Our school is also the education and teaching base of the German government DSD project. In recent years, there have been frequent visits between the school and overseas sister schools.
The school was recognized by the Municipal Education Bureau as the first batch of pilot construction of diversified special high schools, and it is also the only high school in Fuzhou with foreign language disciplines. The school’s foreign language group won the title of Fujian Civilization Demonstration Post. The school inherits the football tradition and trains many national referees, provincial football teachers and football talents. It is a national sports traditional football project school and a football training base in Fuzhou campus.
