Koffi is from Togo in Africa. He has been to many countries-born in the United States, went to elementary and middle school in France, and went to university in Togo… and then went to study in Luoyang. Koffi came to Luoyang in early 2010 to study Chinese in the International Class of Henan University of Science and Technology. He calls Luoyang “home” because the city and the people here make him feel warm. Regardless of Koffi ‘s current Chinese speaking fluently, when he came to Luoyang, he was a “blank paper”. “When I first came, I couldn’t understand anything in class, and I had to rely on gestures to communicate with others.” However, Koffi said that it was the enthusiastic Luoyang people who gave him a lot of help.
For example, when he asks for directions on the street, many people will directly take him to the destination; it took him more than 4 hours to finish the work at the bank for the first time because of language barrier, and when he had to tip the other party 100 yuan When expressing gratitude, don’t say anything. “This is unimaginable in the country I have visited before. Luoyang people are really nice and enthusiastic,” he said. Gradually, Koffi had many friends in Luoyang. After graduating in 2013, he chose to take root in Luoyang and start a business in Luoyang.
“Luoyang is a very vigorous city.” In his view, Luoyang has huge market potential and still has a lot of room for development. “After going to many cities, I found that Luoyang is a very comfortable city, with convenient transportation, clean environment, orderly city, and enthusiastic people…” Koffi said that he has already invested in an international trading company and is ready to To develop in new areas, he intends to take root in Luoyang for a long time, because he has fallen in love with the city.
