Huzhou University (HZU) is a comprehensive full-time university of higher learning. The history of running a university can be traced back to the Qiantang County Teachers’ Training Institute in 1916. Higher education began in 1958 and undergraduates were recruited in 1994. Huzhou University was established in 1999. In 2012, graduate students were recruited. The university is a master’s degree-granting unit approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, a national “civilized unit”, a national demonstration center for Lei Feng activities, and a national advanced collective for helping the disabled. It is the first batch of “excellent doctors” and “excellent agricultural and forestry talents” education and training program pilot projects. Pilot and demonstration schools for applied construction in universities and Zhejiang Province.
