Introduction to Shandong University
Shandong University (website), under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, is a key comprehensive university with a long history, a variety of disciplines, strong academic strength, and distinctive characteristics, which has great influence both at home and abroad. Shandong University is a member university of Project 211 and Project 985, two national key construction projects to support the development of high-quality universities. Shandong University is the best university in the whole Shandong Province.
The Foreign Language Department was founded in 1930 in Qingdao. In 1994, the Department turned into the School of Foreign Languages and Literature. The School has nine departments and ten research institutes. It takes on the teaching and researches of English, Russian, Japanese, Korean, French, German and Spanish.

Full-Time Foreign Instructor Positions Available
Position Title:
Foreign Instructor (English, Japanese, French)
Working Place:
School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Shandong University, Jinan, Shandong Province, P.R. China
Applications are invited for appointment as instructors in the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Shandong University, China, on a 10-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Position requirement:
Teaching positions are open to native speakers below 60 years old, who are holders of a BA or MA or PhD degree in languages, linguistics, literature, education, culture, or other relevant disciplines.
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years college teaching experience and preferably TEFL/TESOL certificates. The appointee should be qualified to teach speaking and writing courses for undergraduate programs.
Position responsibilities:
Teach speaking and writing courses for undergraduate programs, 12-16 hours per week.
Salary:
A monthly salary and benefits ranging from 10000 to 11000 RMB, commensurate with educational background and teaching experience.
Benefits:
Shandong University shall bear the cost of the insurance (1680 RMB annual premium) while the applications shall bear medical expenditures that are below the minimum amount or exceeds the maximum amount, and other expenditures not covered by the insurance.
Accommodation:
The foreign teachers can stay in the foreign expert apartments on campus, with a monthly rent ranging from about 1600 to 2000RMB.
