The history of Peking University’s foreign language disciplines can be traced back to the Jingshi Tongwen School, which was established in 1862. After more than 150 years of tempering and tempering, it has formed an excellent tradition and distinctive features.

Foreign Expert Club at PKU
The Foreign Expert Club of Peking University was founded by the International Cooperation Office and is aimed at foreign experts from all departments of the university to help them improve exchanges, understand China and familiarize themselves with the university’s platform. Since its inception in 2010, the club has successfully organized more than 20 events covering the introduction of traditional Chinese culture, Peking University environment and life, keynote speeches and visits.
Through the foreign teachers’ club, the office can more directly understand the needs and suggestions, and also create opportunities for foreign teachers to experience Chinese culture from different sides. The activities enriched their spare time, enhanced the understanding between Chinese and foreign teachers, and built a warm home for the foreign teachers of our university.
