International College of JNU
Founded in June 2001, the International College is a unique, English-speaking, multi-disciplinary, international professional college. The school adopts a model of joint education with various professional departments in the school. In accordance with the concept and standards of international education, it offers a full-English teaching program. All kinds of professional courses, professional basic courses and public courses (except Chinese) are taught in English. The college implements a standard credit system and is in line with international standards in curriculum and teaching management. After years of construction and development, the college has formed a strong English-language teaching environment from various aspects such as student source, teacher team, teaching material selection, management team, website information, and student employment.
The college has an administrative management office, a teaching and research office, a student work office, a language teaching and research section, a public basic course teaching and research section, an international cooperation project office, a Chinese master’s program office, and an all-English teacher-teacher club. The school is mainly responsible for student management, academic affairs arrangement, English intensive teaching, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese traditional culture education, foreign teacher service and management, student exchange abroad, international student training and all-English teacher exchange and training services. The relevant professional colleges are responsible for the formulation and implementation of talent training programs, teaching plans, the arrangement of professional teachers, curriculum construction, experimental internships, and the monitoring of professional teaching quality. The College offers a full English taught Master’s degree in Chinese Studies and 9 undergraduate majors: International Economics and Trade, Clinical Medicine, Accounting (CPA-Canada), Food Quality and Safety, Pharmacy, Finance, Computer Science and Technology, Medicine ( MBBS) and journalism (international news direction). All English-speaking majors are related to Chinese majors: International Economics and Trade and Finance 2 majors are national key disciplines; Accounting is a national-level specialty (business management), Guangdong Province famous brand; Food Quality and Safety The major is a famous brand in Guangdong Province; journalism is a key discipline of Guangdong Province’s first-level disciplines, a specialty of the Ministry of Education and a famous brand in Guangdong Province; international economics and trade, finance, accounting, clinical medicine, computer science and technology, journalism 5 Each major has a doctoral degree, and all majors have a master’s degree.
The college has nearly 400 full-time English teachers, and employs 30-40 long-term and short-term foreign teachers each year. In order to ensure the level of the faculty of all English-speaking faculty, the College will hold a full-time English teacher qualification examination every 1-2 years. Those who pass the examination will be awarded a qualification certificate issued by the school and qualified for employment. By the end of 2017, 363 teachers had obtained qualification certificates.
Since 2001, more than 4,000 students from 81 countries and regions have been recruited. At present, there are more than 1,800 students in the school. The total number of overseas Chinese students in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is 31.4%, the international students are about 30.1%, and the mainland students are about 38.5%.

Position title:
English Language Lecturer/Associate Professor
Position requirement:
1. English native speaker;
2. MA or PhD degree in language teaching, linguistics, literature, education, culture or relevant disciplines;
3. Minimum of 2 years college teaching experience and preferably TEFL/TESOL/ CELTA certificate.
Position description:
Candidates are expected to work in the International School in both Shi Pai campus and Pan Yu campus on a fixed-term basis starting from September 2019. The position involves teaching (12-14 hours/week) courses English Speaking, Academic Writing, Intensive Reading in English, Extensive Reading in English, A Survey of English-Speaking Countries to undergraduates of English-medium academic programs.
Salary and benefits:
Competitive salary will be provided based on qualification. Round-trip international airfare, medical insurance, free furnished apartment on campus or accommodation subsidy will be also provided.

2. Requirement
1) A native speaker of English from USA, UK, CAN, AUS, or New Zealand.

4) Experiences in teaching English at university level for at least two years. It is favorable to have experiences in intermediate/advanced English writing.
