Introduction to Beijing Technology and Business University
Beijing Technology and Business University is a multi-disciplinary university under construction in Beijing. In June 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be merged by Beijing Light Industry College and Beijing Business School. The Machinery Industry Management Cadre College was incorporated. Beijing Business School has successively belonged to the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Domestic Trade. It was formerly the China National Supply and Marketing Cooperative Headquarters Cadre School and the Central Business Cadre School. The China National Supply and Marketing Cooperatives Headquarters School was established in the early 1950s. The Central Business Cadre School was established in 1953. In 1958, the China National Supply and Marketing Cooperative Headquarters School was merged into the Central Business Cadre School. In 1959, the Ministry of Commerce approved the establishment of the Central Business School with the approval of the State Council. In 1960, it was renamed Beijing Business School, and the Central Business Cadre School merged with Beijing Business School. In 1969, Beijing Business School was suspended due to the “Cultural Revolution”. In 1978, it was approved by the State Council to resume enrollment. Beijing Business School is one of the first institutions of higher learning to establish economic management talents after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is the first batch of master’s degree-granting units approved by the State Council. Founded in 1958, Beijing Institute of Light Industry is one of the earliest light industrial colleges established in China.

Description: BTBU currently has openings in the School of Foreign Languages for native English speakers to teach Spoken English, Intensive Reading, Listening, Writing, Business English, Legal English classes. Teachers who possess a Master or PhD are strongly encouraged to apply.
Objective of the Teaching
– To improve students’ pronunciation through phonics, drills, activities, and songs.
– To expand students’ practical vocabulary.
– To improve students’ fluency through in class speaking activities and debates.
– To correct common grammatical errors in spoken English.
Benchmark Skills Specifically Assessed:
– The ability to construct and sustain simple arguments
– The ability to communicate effectively in oral English in a variety of situations
– Pronunciation, intonation and vocabulary
– Grammar and sentence structure
