South China Normal University is an institution of higher education with a long history and a rich legacy. South China Normal University (SCNU) was founded in 1933. In 1996, it became a member of “Project 211”, a national project aiming to establish 100 well-acknowledged key universities and colleges in China. In 2017, SCNU became a member of the National Sponsoring Project for World-Class Disciplines Construction.

Positions
Full-time English language teachers, mainly to teach English-major undergraduates;

Requirements
1) Native speakers of English from USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada or New Zealand;
2) Have a Master’s Degree or above (we prefer teachers with degree in humanities or social science);
3) Have a TESOL/TESL certificate;
4) We prefer teachers with experience in teaching English at university level;
5) Be Responsible, passionate and cooperative.

Salary & Benefits
Yearly salary: 180,000 RMB before taxes (housing allowance and international flight tickets included)
* There is no housing offered on or off campus.
* Successful applicants must buy their own commercial medical insurance.

Responsibilities
1) You will teach 12 periods (40-minute each period) per week;
* 20 academic weeks in total in one semester
* Courses to teach: Oral English, Writing, and EAP (English for academic purposes)
2) Conduct writing workshops, and be a judge in English contests or extracurricular activities;
3) Develop teaching materials and other resources;
