Introduction to Georgia School Ningbo
Georgia School Ningbo (宁波乔治亚外籍人员子女学校 website) is the first school for children of foreign personnel approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education. The school only enrolls the children of foreign personnel, as well as the children of Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwanese residents and Chinese citizens residing abroad in accordance with the law.
The school is located at No. 377 Jiangbei Avenue. The campus covers an area of 80 acres, the school building area is 30,000 square meters, and the library and other functional buildings are all available. The school is a 15-year system for kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school. The teacher team consists of 42 foreign teachers and 7 Chinese teachers, mainly from the United States. All teachers hold professional teacher qualification certificates for subjects in English-speaking countries, and 70% of teachers have master’s degree or above.
The school has obtained three important international education and examination system certification authorizations. In terms of academic certification, the Western Union of Colleges and Universities (WASC) awarded Georgia schools the highest level of WASC certification for six years. At the same time, the school is authorized by the College Board to provide pre-requisite courses for AP universities in the United States, which is the test center for AP exams. Georgia School is the domestic SAT and PSAT test center school. In the future, students can take SAT and PSAT exams at our school.
Every year, the school will also conduct two simultaneous national exams, and graduates will receive a nationally recognized diploma.
The school only enrolls the children of foreign personnel, as well as the children of Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwanese residents and Chinese citizens residing abroad in accordance with the law. It is reported that the school plans to enroll 100 students every year, which can meet the needs of children of foreign personnel for enrolling in Ningbo.
