Introduction to Lanzhou Oriental Canada Secondary School
Lanzhou Oriental Canada Secondary School (兰州东方中学加拿大高中 LOCSS , website) was founded in 2013. It is the only off-shore high school in the Northwest of China that is approved by Gansu Provincial Department of Education. Being cooperatively run by British Columbia and Lanzhou Oriental School, LOCSS has introduced a Canadian high school education system, which includes grades 10, 11 and 12. We feature small class sizes (less than 25 students per class), a variety of best teaching practices, and a new BC curriculum which we have been implementing over the last two yeas. This new curriculum is one of the reasons that BC education is ranked among the top education systems in the world. Our graduates benefit from a BC education as they are able to easily move to universities abroad.
Our graduates in the past 3 years have received 505 offers from 54 universities which have included Hong Kong, USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand, or which 231 offers have been from the top 100 universities in the world. Our graduates have also received over 2 million RMB in scholarships.
