Introduction to Kunming Concord School
Kunming Concord School or Kunming Concord College of Sino-Canada (昆明云玺中加学校, website) is located in Wujiatang Wetland Park, Guandu District, near Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center. The Campus area covers about 6007 square meters. The school is constructed in first-class standards, elegant architectural style, excellent conditions for running schools, advanced equipment and facilities- beautiful campus environment, greeneries and perfection. It enrolls both Primary and Junior high school students, offering both day school and boarding school options that are of high-quality, modern, high-profile, high-grade, beautiful landscape and ecology international School.
Kunming Concord School is the first Chinese and Canadian cooperation school; it is an implementation of new international schools system, with dual curriculum education offering advanced and unique educational philosophy and educational advantages. On June 2015, the Kunming Aviation cloud Xi mansion delegation and the RBC Canadian International Education Group signed a cooperation agreement in Kunming Guandu District held in Concord schools.
On September 25, 2015, Canadian Ambassador Mr. Guy Saint-Jacques(Zhao Pu), Mr. Philippe Rheault (Quyang Fei) ,Consul General of the Canadian Consulate General in Chongqing, Mrs. Li Shufen, Education Bureau Director of Kunming Guandu District, Mr. Bai Yun, General Manager of Asset Management leading Chinese commercial airline “China Air”, Dr. Peng Jianhua, Chairman of Jiahuang Internationl Educational group, Mr. Andy Truong, Executive Director of Beijing Concord School, Mr. Douglas K. Prescott, Principal of Beijing Concord School and eminent representatives from other concord schools along with the news media, parents and students attended the opening ceremony.
As the Branch is directly under Beijing Concord School, Kunming Concord School undertake high-school international platform set by Beijing Sino-Canadian school, who shares 19 years of experience in international education and educational philosophy. It implements small class teaching and opened both primary and junior high school courses of international specialties. All the courses are recognized by the Canadian government; it employs highly qualified teachers to teach. Through a variety of comprehensive curriculum for students, the school aims to nurture a culture of multicultural awareness, creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork, social responsibility and the ability to enhance the international perspective of the overall quality of students. It will become an important bridge of Kunming international standard of education, a cradle of international citizens.
