#CampusLife On the afternoon of January 18, 2021, the School of Sociology organized an event for foreign teachers of the School of Sociology to welcome the “Chinese Year”. Through the traditional Chinese paper carving crafts and calligraphy copying, this event allowed foreign teachers to experience the charm of Chinese culture and civilization.
Mr. Shen Yi, Dean of the School of Social Sciences delivered a speech. He thanked the foreign teachers for their conscientious and responsible work attitude, their support to social sciences, and the professionalism of returning to Shanghai University after experiencing difficulties under the epidemic. Shen Yi said that we hope to have more exchanges and interactions with the foreign teachers, so that they can feel the care fromm the school. Even though they cannot get together with their families due to the epidemic, they can also experience belonging at Shanghai University. The foreign teachers Emerson Baptista, Fatima Tehreem, Nayoung Heo and teachers from the Institute of Population Research also participated in this activity and completed paper-cutting and calligraphy together.
