Introduction to Zhengzhou Huimin High School

Zhengzhou Huimin High School (郑州回民中学, website) was founded in August 1948, also known as Zhengzhou Sixth Middle School. Formerly known as Private Shengda Middle School, it was changed to a public school in 1953. It is the first minority middle school in Zhengzhou and a model high school in Henan Province. The school is located at No. 4, Chengbei Road, Zhengzhou City. It has more than 6,200 students and nearly 500 faculty members.

English teaching is a characteristic of the school. The school held three English festivals, demonstrating the fruitful results achieved by Zhengzhou Huizhong in English teaching reform. In the 2002 Beijing Foreign Studies University’s early admission examination, the number of Zhengzhou Huizhong students admitted, written test results, and oral test results all ranked first in the province. In 2003, the number of students admitted back to China was still the highest in the province.
