Introduction to Urumqi Foreign Language School
Urumqi Foreign Language School (乌鲁木齐外国语学校) is the only state-run foreign language school in Xinjiang. It was founded on the basis of the city’s twelve middle schools in 1996. The school now has classes for teaching Chinese, Russian, and German. The first batch of international courses has been successfully advanced to the third year, and many students of international courses have received admission notices from world-renowned universities. There are also several foreign teachers, and there is a strong foreign language teaching team.
The school covers an area of 69,753 square meters and is called “garden school”. The school has the city’s first-class modern comprehensive teaching building and fully equipped test building, library, electronic classroom, computer room, multi-function hall, indoor sports field, 300-meter circular lawn track and field stadium, student apartment building, restaurant building, etc.
