Introduction to Foshan No.1 High School
Foshan No.1 High School (佛山一中, website) is the first batch of key middle schools in Guangdong Province and the first batch of national model ordinary high schools in Guangdong Province. It is the only fully boarding high school managed by Foshan Education Bureau.
The school was formerly the Huaying Middle School founded by the British Christian Chinese Methodist Church in 1913.
As of April 2017, Foshan No. 1 Middle School covers an area of nearly 200 acres and has a construction area of 126,600 square meters; there are 75 teaching classes with more than 3,200 students; and 307 faculty members.
