Introduction to Zhangzhou No.1 High School
Zhangzhou No.1 High School (漳州一中, website) is a public full-time high school. Its predecessor was Zhangzhou Fu Middle School, founded in 1902, and was officially named Zhangzhou No. 1 Middle School in Fujian Province in 1951. In 1996, it passed the provincial first-level compliance check and acceptance. The school has strong teachers and a neat and beautiful environment. At the beginning of 2016, the middle school (Longwen Campus) began to enroll students. There are 97 teaching classes and more than 4,800 students.
Since passing the acceptance of the provincial first-level school in 1996, Zhangzhou No.1 High School has invested more than 80 million yuan to purchase modern teaching office equipment and strengthen the construction of campus hardware. It has built a comprehensive building, a gymnasium, and two student apartments (including new student canteens), Experimental building, library, public bathhouse, two new teaching buildings.
There are currently 357 faculty members, including 3 senior teachers, 6 special teachers and 81 senior teachers. Through the selection of “Top Ten Young Teachers on Campus” and “Quality Classes for Middle-aged Teachers”, the school implemented the “pair” activity of new and old teachers, and an excellent team of teachers has been established. School teachers have participated in the college entrance examination proposition for 10 times successively; young teachers have participated in various competitions and have repeatedly topped the list. The school relies on the inter-school cooperation organization of Bamin High School to actively promote inter-school exchanges and cooperation. While making full use of the existing resources of each school and gradually promoting the generation of new resources, it forms the complementarity and sharing of resources between schools and further promotes famous schools. The role of demonstration radiation is greater and the development of the teacher team.
Today, globalization requires global talents. The school has signed cooperation agreements with Columbia International College of Canada, Colorado State University, Oxford International Public Boarding High School, Michigan, Itchen College, Southampton, United Kingdom and other schools. In 2012, Sino-British High School International Courses have also completed enrollment. School education will further “face the world”, and school students will have more opportunities to participate in overseas summer camps and study abroad.
