Introduction to Qingdao No.2 High School
Qingdao No.2 High School (山东省青岛第二中学, website) is located in Qingdao High-Tech Park, backed by Laoshan Mountain and south by the Yellow Sea, with beautiful scenery. The green trees on the campus are covered by grass, the birds are singing, the golden scales are swimming, the strange stones are stacked one after another, and the famous flowers bloom in time. Alternating morning and evening, playing beautiful melodies, changing seasons, performing a moving symphony. The school has 48 classes, more than 2,400 students, 228 faculty members, and 166 full-time teachers. The school was built in 1925. In 2014, our school became one of the first 64 pilot schools in the Chinese University Prerequisite Program.
In order to provide high-end intellectual support and an excellent incubation platform for the growth of innovative talents, Qingdao No. 2 High School took the lead in building an innovation laboratory in the city. We follow the model of domestic first-class and docking universities, and built mechanical engineering, robots, engineering workshops, human health, New energy vehicles, modern biological tissue culture and other modern laboratories. The school has also established a student “innovation practice base” with Haier Group, National Rubber and Tire Engineering Technology Center, 401 Hospital of Chinese People’s Liberation Army, Ocean University of China, Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Qingdao University.
School students actively participated in various activities such as “Science and Technology Festival”, “Sports Festival”, “Sports Festival”, “Art Festival”, “Drama Festival”, “Philosophy Baptist Campus” and other activities; “Various positions in the “Democratic Council”; independently prepared more than 50 student societies such as the Model United Nations, Model Economic Summit, Debate Team, Chess Team, etc., where they pay attention to the politics, culture and history of different countries. In 2014, the Qingdao Second Middle School Simulation Economic Summit organized a team to participate in the sponsorship of the Central School Department of the Communist Youth League, the Secretariat of the National Federation of Students and the Shanghai Committee of the Communist Youth League. Health Business Challenge, and successfully won the team gold award.
