Introduction to Jinan Foreign Language School
Founded in 1989, Jinan Foreign Language School (济南外国语学校, website) is the only foreign language school registered in the Ministry of Education in Shandong Province. In 2001, it became one of the 17 foreign language schools in the country with the qualification to send students directly to key colleges and universities as determined by the Ministry of Education. It is a complete middle school with outstanding foreign language characteristics, equal emphasis on arts and sciences, and international integration.
The school currently has 9 campuses, 432 teaching classes, and more than 18,400 students. It is the largest school (education group) in Jinan’s basic education management.
Jinan Foreign Language School currently offers five non-universal languages of Japanese, Russian, French, German, and Spanish in addition to all the ordinary middle school courses stipulated by the state. It also offers experimental programs of dual foreign language courses.
The school offers A-Level, AP International Curriculum Project and Japan Kansai Language Institute joint training project, German study abroad preparatory course project, Russian study abroad preparatory course project, with the National University of Singapore Admissions (SM2) project, French INSA admissions project, Germany North The University of Wisconsin enrollment program has green channel projects at the University of Toronto, Colorado State University, University of California, Bakersfield, Ritsumeikan University, Doshisha University and Hosei University. As a window school open to the outside world of Jinan Education, the school strives to promote international construction and create a channel to famous universities abroad.
The school actively carries out external exchanges and cooperation with France Zola Middle School, Russia’s Nono 67 Middle School, Canada’s Parkview Middle School, Finland’s Helsingor Middle School, Germany’s Gardeburg High School etc.
