Introduction to Fuzhou Senior High School
Fuzhou Senior High School (福州高级中学, website) is located on the top of Yantai Mountain on the south bank of the Minjiang River. The good location near the mountains and the river endows Fugao with a life of vitality. It is known as the “Pearl of Yanshan Mountain”. “Green School” title.
The predecessor of the Fuzhou Senior High School campus was Heling Yinghua College, founded in 1881 (7 years of Qing Guangxu). In the history of Heling Yinghua College, many outstanding talents have been cultivated on this campus. In 1996, the school was recognized as a first-class middle school in Fujian Province. In 2018, the school was awarded the first batch of demonstration high school construction schools in Fujian Province.
The school campus borders on the north of Cangqian Road Liberation Bridge (Wanshou Bridge) and Sanxianzhou Bridge at the southern end of Tingxiashan Road, south of Huaiyinli Tongmaiyuan Road, and crosses Lequn Road to form two campuses. The southern area is a teaching area composed of a teaching building (Zhiyuan Building and Fenjin Building), an experimental building (Qushishi Building), a biogeographic garden and a pavilion waterscape; the eastern part of the North Campus is located in the Tianning Temple (Tian’an Temple), a famous Song Dynasty Song Dynasty in Cangshan ) On the original site, the main building is the office building (Unity Building) and the student apartment. The western campus is built on the original site of the middle school of Heling Yinghua College. (School Classroom) and the Gothic-style Heling Yinghuali Auditorium and Alumni Bell Tower have been confirmed as Fujian’s cultural relics protection buildings, and Yinghua Building (Yucai Building), Heling Library and Athletics Field, etc., are for students The cultural and sports activities provided venues. At present, the new school gate and school square in Cangqian Road on the south bank of Minjiang River are under construction, which will add a more convenient school gate for Fukao.
Fuzhou Senior High School currently has 39 classes in three grades of high school with nearly 2,000 students. Under the leadership of a united, harmonious, and pioneering and innovative leadership team, Fugao people have achieved impressive results one after another. Fugao students have achieved excellent results in the discipline Olympic competition and youth scientific and technological innovation competitions.
