Introduction to Shenzhen Hongling Middle School
Shenzhen Hongling Middle School (深圳红岭中学, website) was founded in August 1981, formerly known as Shenzhen No. 3 Middle School. In 1986, it was renamed as today’s name. For better management, the Municipal Education Bureau transformed it from a key high school in Shenzhen to a key high school in Futian District, a public key school fully funded by the Futian District Government of Shenzhen. The school junior middle school is located in Yuanling 9th Street, Shenzhen. In 2004, the Shixia junior middle school was built. In 2005, the municipal and district governments divided 100,000 square meters of land in the downtown area and invested nearly 400 million yuan. In early 2006, the construction of the new school was started. Nanyuan Primary School merged into the school in 2013, Zhulin Middle School merged in 2014, and Shenzhen Hongling Education Group was established in 2015.
Shenzhen Hongling Middle School is “National Demonstration High School in Guangdong Province”. The school has been rated as the “Most Popular Key Middle School” in Shenzhen for five consecutive years. Hongling Middle School passed the evaluation of Shenzhen “First-Class School” in 1996, Guangdong Province’s “First-Class School” in 2001, and passed the Guangdong Provincial Ordinary High School Teaching Level Evaluation and National Demonstration Ordinary with the highest score in the province in November 2007. The acceptance of the high school was confirmed to be the first batch of national model ordinary high schools in Guangdong Province. As of September 2013, there are more than 100 classes in the middle and high schools of Hongling Middle School, with more than 6,000 students and more than 400 faculty members. The four schools cover a total area of 160,000 square meters.
Shenzhen Hongling Middle School is currently the largest public key school in Shenzhen. It ranks in the forefront of the city with excellent results. It is also the most powerful key middle school among the Shenzhen district schools. Over the years, the college entrance examination has repeatedly achieved excellent results and is known as one of the five famous schools in Shenzhen. In 2017, the focus rate of the college entrance examination reached 81%. With the beautiful campus environment, comfortable accommodation and excellent faculty, it has become the school with the largest number of candidates for the annual entrance examination in Shenzhen.
