Huaibei Vocational and Technical College (淮北职业技术学院) was approved by the Ministry of Education in July 1999.It was a public full-time general vocational college formed by the merger of the former Huaibei Education College, Huaibei Mining Bureau Workers College, and Anhui TV University Huaibei Branch. Technical schools have been merged. In 2002 and 2003, it was listed as a model vocational college supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as a key support. In 2015, it was identified as a model vocational college in Anhui Province. Huaibei Vocational and Technical College mainly organizes higher vocational and technical education, and also provides vocational skills training and adult education. Higher vocational education has seven departments and basic departments, such as medical department, mechanical and electrical engineering department, computer science and technology department, arts and crafts department, finance and economics department, tourism management department, and construction engineering department. There are 52 permanent teaching majors. There are 16,000 enrolled students in vocational colleges, secondary vocational colleges, TV universities and adult education, and more than 20,000 vocational skills training students annually.
The college has strong faculty, with 537 full-time teachers, 28 professors, and 248 associate titles or above; 4 have doctorate degrees and 274 master degrees; and 211 are dual-teacher teachers. At present, the college has 5 provincial-level teaching teachers, 9 provincial rookies, and 13 provincial teaching teams.
