Beijing Jiaotong Vocational Technical College (北京交通职业技术学院, website) is a full-time ordinary higher vocational school hosted by the People’s Government of Changping District. The college was established in 1984 and was formerly known as Changping Branch of Northern Jiaotong University. In 1999 it was renamed as Higher Vocational Technical College of Northern Jiaotong University. In January 2005, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, it was independently established as the Beijing Vocational College of Transportation. The college focuses on higher vocational education, and also provides continuing education, skills training and appraisal services.
The college covers an area of 305 acres. It has five teaching departments (departments): road and bridge department, automobile department, management department, rail transportation department, and basic department. It has 18 general vocational majors, forming the “city construction category” “,” Automotive Mechanical and Electrical “,” Urban Service “and” Rail Transportation “. The college strongly supports the modernization of practical teaching equipment. Beijing Jiaotong Vocational Technical College currently has 22% of full-time teachers with senior titles, 3 city-level outstanding teachers, 2 Beijing teaching teachers, 14 Beijing outstanding young backbone teachers, and 3 Beijing Youth Talent Training Program 1 municipal excellent teaching team. Among the full-time teachers in the hospital, 59% are dual-qualified teachers with first-line production experience.
