Jiangxi Technical College of Manufacturing (江西制造职业技术学院) is a university directly under the Education Department of Jiangxi Province. The predecessor of the college was the “July 21” university established in October 1978. In April 1980, Jiangxi Provincial Mechanical Workers College was established on the basis of the former “July 21” university. In June 2004, with the approval of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government, a higher vocational college was set up on this basis, and it was renamed Jiangxi Manufacturing Vocational and Technical College. In November, the provincial key scientific research institute Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Mechanical Science was incorporated into the college.
Jiangxi Technical College of Manufacturing has three campuses: Aixi Lake, Shanghai Road and Ding Road, with a building area of over 200,000 square meters. The college has 6 departments including the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Information Engineering, the Department of Economic Management, the Basic Courses Department, and the Technical Secondary School Department. Each. At present, there are more than 9,900 full-time students and 550 faculty members, including 126 professors, associate professors and other senior title teachers. There are provincial teaching masters, subject leaders, and young and middle-aged backbone teachers in Jiangxi Province.9 There are 4 skilled experts in Jiangxi Province and 138 teachers with master’s degree or above. The college’s “NC technology course group teaching team” was rated as the provincial teaching team in Jiangxi Province.
Jiangxi Technical College of Manufacturing has two national vocational education training bases such as numerical control technology and automobile maintenance, and three provincial professional skills training centers including electronic information technology, mold manufacturing technology, and interdisciplinary liberal arts comprehensive training centers. There are 76 professional experiment and training rooms of various types, teaching and scientific research equipment worth more than 78 million yuan, and more than 500,000 volumes of various books. The college actively takes advantage of the merger of the institutes and continuously expands the field of scientific research and development. For many years, the institute’s scientific research institute has undertaken more than 200 national, ministerial and provincial scientific research and new product development topics, and obtained 197 scientific and technological achievements, including 2 national invention awards, 33 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards, and The excellent product award has reached the domestic leading level in many fields, and the annual production and sales income of scientific research results has reached more than 6 million yuan. Relying on the platform of the Scientific Research Institute, the college has established Jiangxi Provincial Machinery Product Quality Supervision Station, Jiangxi Provincial Mechanical Engineering Technology Research Center, Jiangxi Provincial Machinery Industry Technical Center, Jiangxi Provincial Precision Extrusion Die and Processing Technology Engineering Research Center, Jiangxi Provincial Industry Enterprises and Provincial science and technology platforms such as university graduate training bases.
Over the past 40 years, Jiangxi Technical College of Manufacturing has trained and delivered more than 30,000 full-time graduates for the country, and a batch of students have become managers and technical backbones of national large and medium-sized enterprises.
