Introduction to Chengdu

1. Sichuan University (211, 985, double first class)
Sichuan University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a high-level research-oriented comprehensive university with a national key structure in western China. In 2008, it was awarded the first batch of “National Technology Transfer Demonstration Organizations” by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2009, it became one of the first four universities to receive the title of “National Enterprises and Enterprises Intellectual Property Demonstration Units”. In 2012, it was rated as National Class A (Excellent). University Science Park, in 2016, the school was approved to become one of the country’s first “double-creative” demonstration bases, and the first batch of national reform and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration universities.

The University of Electronic Science and Technology is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, formerly known as Chengdu Institute of Telecommunications Engineering. In 1960, the school was listed as a national key high school by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In 1961, it was identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as one of the seven national defense industrial colleges. 4. Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (211, double first class)
Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is a national key university under the Ministry of Education’s national “211 Project” and “985 Project” Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform, and is also the country’s first “double-class” construction university. The school is located in Chengdu, a famous historical and cultural city in China. There are two campuses, Guanghua and Liulin, with a jurisdiction of more than 2,300 mu. 5. Southwest Petroleum University (double first class)
Southwest Petroleum University is an oil undergraduate college founded in Chaoyang, facing the new China. Chengdu University of Technology was founded on March 15, 1956. It is a science and technology based industry, with advantages in geology, energy, resource science, nuclear technology and environmental science, with chemicals, materials, electronics, machinery, information science, management science, etc. A multidisciplinary university featuring disciplines. 7. Chengdu University of Information Technology
Chengdu University of Information Technology was jointly established by the China Meteorological Administration and the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government. The school is a national middle and western basic capacity building engineering university, the first batch of “excellent engineer education training plan” pilot institutions in the country, the first batch of “first-class discipline construction” universities in Sichuan Province, and the newly added doctorate-granting units in Sichuan Province. The school draws on the international CDIO engineering education concept and vigorously promotes the reform of education and teaching. It is the only official member of the international CDIO organization in western China.

8. Xihua University
Xihua University, referred to as Xihua, was founded in 1960 and is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is a key university in Sichuan Province. The school is a comprehensive university with coordinated development of engineering, science, management, law, economics, art, literature, education, history, agriculture, and medicine. 9. Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (double first class)
Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is jointly established by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is one of the key institutions of Chinese medicine, with multidisciplinary cross-infiltration and coordinated development of provincial key institutions of higher learning. Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Chengdu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1956. It was one of the earliest four Chinese medicine colleges and universities established in China under the cordial care of Zhou Enlai and other party and state leaders. In 1995, it was renamed by the State Education Commission. In June 2006, Sichuan Reproductive Health College and Sichuan Health Management Cadre College were merged into Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

10. Sichuan Normal University
Founded in 1946, Sichuan Normal University is located in Chengdu, a historical and cultural city known as the “land of abundance”. It is a training institution for free teachers in Sichuan Province. It has three campuses, namely, Lion Rock Campus, Jackie Chan Campus and East Campus. Selected as a key institution in the “Central and Western University Basic Capacity Building Project”, “Excellent Teacher Training Program”, “Outstanding Legal Talent Education and Training Program”, and “2011 Plan, Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program” in Sichuan Province.
