The school is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established with Jiangsu Province. School of Foreign Languages
Southeast University has a long history of foreign language teaching. As early as 1902, the Sanjiang Normal School was first set up for Japanese teaching. In 1903, the school opened with 17 courses, each in English and Japanese. In 1917, the first English major was established in China. In 1983, the Department of Foreign Languages was established. In 1987, the Department of Foreign Languages was established. In 2006, the Department of Foreign Languages was renamed the School of Foreign Languages.
The School of Foreign Languages consists of 8 departments including the English Department, the Japanese Department, the University Foreign Language Teaching Department, the Graduate Public Foreign Language Teaching Department, the MTI Education Center, the Testing Center, the Extracurricular Practice Guidance Center, and the Foreign Language Learning Center. Currently, there is one national university. Foreign Language Teaching Reform Demonstration Point, 1 Jiangsu University International Problem Research Center, 6 School Level Institutes – Institute of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Institute of Foreign Literature and Comparative Literature, Translation Institute, Institute of Modern Educational Technology , American Institute of Culture and Higher Education, Institute of Japanese Language and Culture, two school-level research centers – Foreign Language Teaching Materials Research and Development Center, Russian Research Center, and a professor committee for the interaction and integration of teaching and research, for talent and The training and construction of the teaching staff provides a good platform.
The school currently has nearly 600 students, including 358 undergraduates and 181 graduate students.
Recruitment Notice
Position: Academic English Teacher
1. Teach academic English for MA and PhD students of non-English majors. Possible courses are speaking English and academic writing etc.
2. Candidates with MA or PhD degrees in humanities and certain teaching and research experience are preferred.
3. The salary is about 8000RMB every month. You will receive 10 months salary every year.
4. Medical insurance is provided. We do not provide housing.
