Minjiang Teachers College (website) is a school with a history of 110 years. Its predecessor was the Quangyi Normal School founded in 1903. The college is located in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, and is a full-time general higher vocational college organized by the Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government.

The school has four campuses, namely Qishan Campus, Guanglufang Campus, Cangshan Campus and Sugarcane Campus. It covers an area of 588.8 mu and has a construction area of nearly 180,300 square meters. There are 11 teaching units including the Department of Elementary Education, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Preschool Education, the Department of Art, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering, the Department of Public Foundation, the School of Marxism, and the Center for Continuing Education. , Fuzhou Education Research Institute, Fuzhou Art School, Affiliated Experimental Primary School, Affiliated Experimental Kindergarten, Affiliated Second Kindergarten, Fuzhou Mandarin Test Center, Fuzhou Non-Adult Mental Health Counseling Center, etc., 7 subordinate management units, 1 affiliated primary school and 1 affiliated secondary school.

Minjiang Teachers College is composed of 440 faculty members, 246 full-time teachers, 60 basic education and teaching staff, 194 master’s degree teachers and 142 senior professional and technical teachers. The school adheres to both professional and non-teaching majors, and actively serves regional basic education and economic and social development. It covers education and sports, culture and art, public management and services, medical and health, tourism, electronic information, biology and chemicals, equipment manufacturing, There are 26 majors in food, medicine and food, and nearly 6,000 full-time students.

Minjiang Teachers College adheres to scientific development, realizes the coordination of political schools and enterprises, and cooperates in educating people. On the basis of self-built 15 on-campus training centers, it is associated with Fujian Fuzhou Experimental Primary School, New World Technology Group, Netlong Network Company, Fujian Benz Auto Company, Fujian. 114 industries and enterprises such as Petrochemical Group have cooperated closely to establish a high-standard education and training base, which provides a space for students to improve their practical ability.

Minjiang Teachers College actively joined the “Belt and Road” and assumed the key projects of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government to “connect the national strategy to build a sea in Fuzhou”. As an important ancestral home in Southeast Asia, it insists on focusing on Chinese language education, Chinese language communication and Chinese culture nourishment, and normalizes Chinese language teacher training and educational and cultural exchange activities in Southeast Asian countries. We set up a “China-Cambodia Chinese Teacher Training Center” to set up a school, set up an overseas teacher training team, and provide special training materials. Established the Southeast Asian Chinese Teacher Training Center to train Chinese teachers from Southeast Asian countries.

Food
Fuzhou cuisine is something you cannot miss. As one of China’s eight major cuisines, Fuzhou dishes are light but flavorful, with particular emphasison retaining the natural flavor of the main ingredient. The most famous one is “fotiaoqiang”,literally translated as Buddha jumps over the wall. With a special way of cooking,the dish is widely known for its rich taste and usage of various high-qualityingredients, including shark fins, sea cucumber and abalone. The dish’s name isan allusion to the dish’s terrific flavor to entice the monks to come out fromtheir temples to partake in the meat-based dish. Another famous delicacy iscalled rouyan. Its main ingredient is lean pork, which is pounded and smashedinto meat paste, mixed with some starch, then stretched into a thin sheet,which is used to wrap stuffing of minced meat.

Weather
The weather of Fuzhou is comfortable, affording tourists the opportunity to visit the city all the year round, especially between April and November. Fuzhou is also liable to typhoons in late summer and early autumn. The monthly 24-hour average temperature ranges from 10.9 °C (51.6 °F) in January to 28.9 °C (84.0 °F) in July, while the annual mean is 19.84 °C (67.7 °F).
