Taizhou University (TZU) is a public university in Taizhou, Zhejiang province. The university is managed by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and Taizhou City. In 1978, the university was built as Taizhou Teachers College. It trains teachers for public schools in Zhejiang province. In 1993 the university opened non-teaching majors. Now it has became a comprehensive university with majors including literature, science, engineering, management, law, education, history, medicine, and economics.

School of Foreign Languages

The School of Foreign Languages of Taizhou University was established in 2003 and was originally a foreign language department of Taizhou Teachers College. The College now has English Department, Business English Department and University Foreign Language Teaching Department. Opened undergraduate and business English undergraduate majors, of which English majors are provincial key majors. The second foreign language is: Japan, Germany, France, and Russia. Nearly 1,300 full-time students are enrolled.

The school has 91 full-time teachers, including 5 professors, 20 associate professors, 6 doctors, and 98% of masters and above. The college also hires visiting professors and foreign teachers to teach regularly.

Through the rich group activities such as “English Corner” and “Foreign Language Festival”, the college expands students’ learning channels and active learning atmosphere. The college offers basic English, advanced English, and professional English.

Taizhou University Job Description

1. Full-time English teacher, mainly teaching oral English courses
2. Work in the School of Foreign Languages as foreign language teacher
3. No more than 16 classes per week, no office hours.
4. Around 8000 RMB monthly salary, paid vacation within the contract period.
5. Private, on-campus one-bedroom apartment with basic furniture.
6. 12000 RMB flight allowance for one academic year. The school gives 6000 RMB to the teacher at the end of each semester.
7. 2500 RMB vacation allowance. The school gives 1250 RMB to the teacher at the end of each semester.
8. Medical insurance covering the whole contract period

Taizhou University Job Qualification

1. Native English speaker.
2. Bachelor’s degree or above.
3. At least 2 years of English teaching experience, or holding a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certifcate.
4. Prefer candidates who have started the document authentication process.
5. Clean background, respectful to China’s culture and laws, passionate about teaching.
