Guangdong Ocean University Cunjin College (website), located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, the southernmost coastal city of Mainland China, is a full-time regular institution of higher education. The College was jointly founded by Guangdong Ocean University and Zhanjiang Cunjin Education Group in 1999, and approved as an independent college by Ministry of Education in 2006. In order to further improve education conditions, and comprehensively promote talent training quality, the College started the construction of a new campus – Xinhu Campus in January 2016. Xinhu Campus, located in Zhanjiang Education Base, and covers an area of 1622mu (about 108 hectare), with 900,000 m2 construction area. The college, gearing towards new starting point, is striving to become an application-oriented regular university with distinctive features.
Faculty of Foreign Languages
The Faculty of Foreign Languages consists of seven teaching sections: English Teaching and Research Section, Translation Teaching and Research Section, Business English Teaching and Research Section, Chinese International Education Teaching and Research Section, Japanese Teaching and Research Section, French Teaching and Research Section, and Public Foreign Language Teaching and Research Section; existing English, Japanese, Translation, French, Business English, and Chinese International Education. Undergraduate major, more than 3,500 students, students from 7 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, including about 85% of Guangdong students, graduates mainly in economic and trade, foreign affairs, finance, shipping, transportation, tourism, science and technology, culture, education The departments are engaged in translation, clerks, teachers, tour guides, management, research, etc. Each year, more graduates are admitted to the civil servants of party and government organs at all levels or to master master’s degrees at famous universities at home and abroad. The overall employment rate of graduates reached 98.97%.
The department has 120 faculty members, including 8 professors, 32 associate professors, 80 lecturers, including 8 foreign teachers. Teachers with master’s degree and higher account for 96.55% of the total number of teachers; most of the teachers come from domestic and foreign renowned universities.
Courses Teaching:
The courses of English, Translation and Business English majors are: Basic English, Advanced English, Spoken English, English Listening, English Writing, English Reading, English Translation, English Interpretation, Business English, Business English Translation, Advanced English Listening and Speaking, Vocabulary, Introduction to Linguistics, English and American Literature, International Trade Negotiations, Foreign Trade Correspondence, etc. The combination and arrangement of specific courses vary from major to major.
The core courses of Japanese majors include: Basic Japanese, Advanced Japanese, Japanese Listening and Speaking, Japanese Writing, Japanese-Chinese Translation, Chinese-Japanese Translation, Advanced Japanese Writing, Business Japanese Practice, Japanese Grammar, Japanese Reading, Japanese Overview, Introduction to Japanese Culture, Japan Literature history, reading in Japanese newspapers and magazines, and reading of modern Japanese literature.
The core courses of the French major include: Basic French, Advanced French, French Pronunciation, French Listening, French Grammar, French Speaking, French Reading, French Writing, French Interpretation Theory and Practice, French Translation Theory and Practice, Introduction to French Linguistics, French Literature Introduction, country profiles in France and French-speaking countries, business French, news French, etc.

Guangdong Ocean University Cunjin College is looking for profesional and experienced ESL teachers to provide our university students with creative general English courses. The position involves preparing and providing oral English classes to our university students at freshman and sophomore.
Cunjin College Job Responsibilities
-Teach undergraduate English courses 16 periods teaching per week
-Take part in English corner
-Monday to Friday work schedule
-Prepare and provide oral English classes
-Provide advice and assistance to students, both in and out of the classroom
-Promote and preserve a happy atmosphere in the classroom
-Enhance students’ verbal and listening skills in English
Compensation Salary
-8000-10000 RMB monthly (before tax)
-Free, furnished accommodation on campus provided
-Airfare allowance provided on contract completion: 10000-12000 RMB (before tax)
-about 2 months summer vacation and 1 month winter vacation provided (full pay), plus national holidays (full pay)
-Legal ‘Z’ work visa provided

Cunjin College Job Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree or above
-120 hours TEFL certificate required
-Native English speaker, under 50 years old
-2 years of teaching experience preferred (will consider good candidates with no experience)
