Nanchang (Panorama ) is the provincial capital of Jiangxi Province, a province in China famous for its greenery and Jinggangshan mountain. AI Technology
Nanchang is China’s new ‘VR base’ and the host city of the World VR Conference. One January 17, 2019, Microsoft launched the AI + VR Innovation Base in Nanchang. The base is a cloud and mobile technology incubator tailored for AI, VR startups and manufacturing companies. The incubator will provide training and other support to technology companies and is expected to promote the development of the VR industry in Jiangxi Province. Dozens of AI, VR and other technology companies will be stationed at Microsoft’s incubator in the Honggutan New District.

City on the Lakes
There are many lakes in Nanchang, including Qinglan Lake, Junshan Lake, Jinxi Lake, Yaohu Lake and Nantang Lake etc. It is said by Chinese folks that the city is built on the lakes. Nanchang has a water area of 1,239 square kilometers, with 5,839 ponds and lakes, a natural lakeshore of 260 kilometers, and 488 reservoirs of various sizes.

Transportation

Nanchang is one of the transportation hubs in China. You can take the high speed train to most major cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Nanchang West Railway Station is one of the China’s large-scale railway hubs.

High Speed Railway
1. Northward— 6 hours and 17 minutes to Beijing
2. Eastward— 2 hours and 13 minutes to Hangzhou, and 3 hours and 3 minutes to Shanghai
3. Southward— 3 hours and 47 minutes to Guangzhou, and 4 hours and 31 minutes to Shenzhen
4. Westward— 1 hour and 21 minutes to Changsha, and 8 hours and 46 minutes to Chengdu

Subway (Metro):
The first line of Nanchang Metro was opened on December 26, 2015, making Nanchang the 25th city in mainland China to operate subway. As of June 2019, it has opened 2 operating lines, Line 1 and Line 2. There are 2 lines under construction. The city plans to have 5 lines by 2025.

Air:
Nanchang Changbei International Airport has 161 air routes in total, successively navigable to 83 cities, including 12 international cities and 68 domestic cities. It has opened international flights to 8 cities: Bangkok, Pattaya, Nha Trang, Siem Reap, Bali, Moscow, Singapore and Osaka.
