Minnan Science and Technology Institute (website) is located at the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road and the famous Chinese hometown of Nan’an. In 2001, it was jointly organized by Fujian Normal University and the Philippine Patriotic Overseas Chinese University. It is the first independent college established in Fujian Province to implement the regular high school. Undergraduate education. In November 2018, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be converted into an independent undergraduate college.

The board of directors of the school are all funded by the famous patriotic overseas Chinese in the Philippines. The current chairman of the board is the famous overseas Chinese leader of the Philippines, the honorary chairman of the Federation of Philanthropic Associations, and the industrialist Mr. Dai Hongda. The honorary principal is a famous mathematician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a member of the Chinese Mathematical Society Biomathematics Branch. Professor Chen Lanxuan, the current principal is Professor Zhang Jie.

Campus

Minnan Science and Technology has three campuses, namely Kangmei, Meilin and Jiangbei. It covers an area of ??nearly 700 mu and has a planned area of ??more than 1,000 mu. Currently, it has a computer information college, a photoelectric information college, a business school, a life science and chemistry college, and an art and design college. 11 secondary schools, including Marxist College, Humanities College, Civil Engineering College, General Education College, Innovation and Entrepreneurship College and International Education College, offering 31 undergraduate majors in science, engineering, economics, management, literature and art. There are more than 7,000 undergraduate students.

The school implements the strategy of strengthening the school with talents and characteristic schools, and is committed to building a faculty with excellent quality, reasonable structure, dedication and vitality. There are more than 400 full-time teachers, including provincial-level teaching teachers and provincial-level outstanding teachers. Many teachers have won the provincial May 1st Labor Medal and provincial ethics and morals. Many teachers have been selected as “Outstanding Youth Research in Fujian Provincial Education Department”.
