Introduction to Northwest University of Political Science and Law

Located in Xi’an, a world famous historical and cultural city, Northwest University of Political Science and Law (website) is a multi-disciplinary university with distinctive legal characteristics, philosophy, economics, management, literature and other disciplines supporting and coordinating development. The school is an important base for the legal education research center and humanities and social science research in the northwest region. It is one of the “Four Institutes and Four Departments”, which is known as the national team for political and legal personnel training. It is a high-level university and a first-class discipline construction university with key construction in Shaanxi Province. It is a member of the National Liberal Higher Education “League Union” and the “Changan Alliance” of Xi’an High-level Characteristic University.

There are 32 undergraduate majors and more than 13,000 undergraduates. There are more than 2,400 graduate students and 67 doctoral students.

They are: the School of Philosophy and Social Development, the School of Economics, the School of Business, the School of Criminal Law, the School of Civil and Commercial Law, the School of Economic Law (Intellectual Property College), the School of Administrative Law (College of Discipline Inspection and Supervision), the School of International Law, and the School of Anti-Terrorism Law (National Institute of Security), School of Politics and Public Administration, School of Public Security, School of Foreign Languages, School of Journalism and Communication, School of Marxism, School of International Education, School of Law, School of Continuing Education, Law School, Sports Department.

Northwest University of Political Science and Law is integrated into the “Belt and Road” construction, and is committed to building an important position in the study of the Silk Road legal theory and the innovation of the highland and the rule of law culture. The school has built a think tank platform for the construction of the “Belt and Road”, the Silk Road Regional Cooperation and Development Law Institute and the “China-Asia-Europe High-end Legal Talents Training Base” were established by the China Law Society, and established the “One Belt and One Road” Law School in Shaanxi. Northwest University of Political Science and Law has vigorously expanded the international exchange channels for students and established cooperative relationships with more than 70 famous universities in the United States, Britain, Germany and other countries. Actively carry out education for international students, there are nearly 100 international students along the Silk Road. Encourage the support of teachers and students to study abroad and participate in international conferences, and continuously improve the ability of personnel to cultivate internationalization and participate in international competition.
